The government is introducing a program to provide a monthly assistance of Rs. 1000 to boys and girls residing in hostels designated for minorities.

Benefits to the Citizens

Minority students from Class IX to XII who live in minority hostels will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 1000. In addition to the financial assistance, these students will have access to essential amenities, including cots, mattresses, sheets, study tables and chairs, as well as cooking utensils and kitchen facilities. Furthermore, each month, students will be provided with nine kilograms of rice and six kilograms of wheat.

Eligibility

To qualify for this program, students must:

  • Belong to a minority community and reside in minority welfare hostels within Bihar state.
  • Be enrolled and living in hostels managed by the Minority Welfare Department.
  • Be studying a recognized course at an accredited educational institution.

How to Apply

The Minority Welfare Department will gather a list of eligible students from the Principals of the minority hostels where the students reside.
